Christmas Room All Year

Hermann’s 6th Annual Cemetery Walk,

hosted by The Brush & Palette Club, is

scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25, at 3 p.m. at

the City Cemetery located between East 9th

and 10th streets.

The event will feature costumed imperson-

ators who will bring to life individuals from

Hermann’s past.

Eight designated graves or family plots in

the oldest sections of the cemetery will be

visited by those attending the walk.

Organized groups of attendees will be hosted

by members and friends of The Brush &

Palette Club who will guide each group

through the walk. At each designated grave

or family plot an impersonator will tell the

story of the person or persons buried at the

site.

An added opportunity for those who find

the steep terrain of the cemetery difficult to

navigate will be a performance of the imper-

sonations, accompanied by a visual presen-

tation of the gravesites included in the walk,

at the Rotunda in the Upper City Park at 6

p.m. on the 25.

Admission to the event is $10 and will be

paid at the cemetery or Rotunda on the day

of the walk. In case of cancellation of the

event at the cemetery due to rain, all are

encouraged to attend the evening perfor-

mance of the impersonations at the Rotunda.

Proceeds of the event will benefit The

Brush & Palette Club’s ongoing project of

Hermann City Cemetery restoration.
