The Historic Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows Shrine

at Starkenburg will host its annual Fall Pilgrimage

on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The special daywill begin at 10 a.m.withExposition

of the Blessed Sacrament. The Pilgrims will then

carry a replica of the White Lady, an image that has

been at the Shrine since 1852, in a rosary procession

through the Shrine grounds, stopping at each of the

outdoor Stations of the Cross.

A traditional G rman meal of fried chicken, roast

beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, slaw and

dessert will be served by members of the Church of

the Risen Savior from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Valentine

Hall.

Following themeal, the Sacrament of Reconciliation

will be heard. The day will conclude with Benediction

at 1 p.m. and Mass at the Outdoor Altar at 2 p.m.

Religious articles will be available for sale and will

be blessed during Mass.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows is located in

Montgomery County, just two miles north of the Katy

Trail, on Highway P. Directions to the Shrine of Our

Lady of Sorrows:

From Jefferson City: Take Highway 94 to Highway

P. Turn left, go two miles. Starkenburg is on the left.

From Hermann: Take H ghway 19 North to

Highway 94 West. Go through Rhineland, and con-

tinue to Highway P. Turn right on to Highway P,

Starkenburg is on your left.

From I-70: Take the New Florence/Hermann Exit

and go south on Highway 19. I Big Spring turn

right onto Highway K. Turn left onto Highway P at

Americus. Go about five miles, Starkenburg is on

your right.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows is handicapped

accessible. The Shrine and St. Martin’s Church

Museum are pen daily for visitors. For more i for-
