April through October (closed November-
March).
As visitors approach the German School,
they can see the clock tower that has been a
long-time symbol of Hermann. It is kept run-
ning by dedicated clock winders, who every two
days go up to the second floor to crank the
clock.
The clock, built by a German clock maker,
has been running continuously since 1890.
Visitors are invited to see the inner work-
ings of the clock when they visit the museum.
The German School is located at 312 Schiller
Street, P.O. Box 105, Hermann, MO 65041.
