Relive the

Revolutionary War Battles

of Trenton Reenactment

on December 28, 2019 in

Trenton, New Jersey. The

Battles of Trenton Reen-

actment take place on the

Saturday following Christ-

mas, and are hosted by the

Old Barracks Museum and

are part of Patriots Week,

a week-long celebration of

Trenton’s

revolutionary

history coordinated by the

Trenton Downtown Associ-

ation. Meet at the Old Bar-

racks Museum and follow

the troops as they march

to the Battle of Trenton

Monument to begin the

battle towards Mill Hill

Park. Come back to the Old

Barracks for a tour of the

original building at the dis-

counted rate of $5 per per-

War Memorial Veterans

Building 2018-2019 100

Years of Disruption: The

Great War Revealed in San

Francisco America’s story

and San Francisco’s role in

the Great War inspired a

unique display that opened

over Memorial Day week-

end in 2018. Eight 8-foot

square banners were in-

stalled in the War Memo-

rial Veterans Building

at 401 Van Ness Avenue,

across the street from San

Francisco City Hall. An

additional exhibit with

uniforms, weapons, vid-

eos, and dozens of artifacts

were unveiled in the Veter-

ans Gallery on November

11 of 2018, the 100th an-

niversary of the Armistice

that ended the Great War.

The Gallery exhibit covers

a huge range of relics and

topics in just one room. The

artifacts, research, text, im-

ages and displays were pro-

duced by Ken Maley, Janice

Tong, Fred Rutledge, Paul

Cox, Dana Lombardy, and

graphic artist Dan Zillion.

One exhibit in the Veterans

Gallery is open to the pub-

lic and admission is free.

Battle Reenactment of the

2nd Seminole War on Janu-

ary 4-5, 2020 at the Dade

Battlefield Historic State

Park in Bushnell, Florida.

Each year, on the first full

weekend (Saturday & Sun-

day) of January, the Dade

Battlefield Society spon-

sors a re-enactment of the

battle. Arrive early on re-

enactment weekend. The

park manager says Sun-

day is usually less crowded

than Saturday. The actual

battle is at 2 p.m. each day,

although there are activi-

ties all day.

third Saturday and Sun-

day of each month at His-

toric Fort Taylor, America’s

Southernmost Civil War

Fortress in Key West, Flor-

ida. Join our re-enactors

as they set up tents, clean

their weapons and fire up

the blacksmith shop. Climb

the circular stairways and

experience the harbor view

just as the soldiers did in

1861.

Walk down our cannon

row and touch the actual

cannons used to protect this

Union stronghold. Tours

will be available and pub-

lic interaction is strongly

recommended. Re-enactor

participation varies by

weekend and weather con-
