Page 4 CHURCH GUIDE Westview Missionary Bap- tist Church was organized on June 1, 1948. The origi- nal building was located on Rosedale Ave. The firsr pas- tor was the late Rev. Clarence Elkins. In 1959, the present Church located on Lennie Ave. was completed. The first service was held on Sunday November 15, 1959. The late Rev Carroll Seld was pastor at the time. The following have served as pastors of the Church. Rev. Clarence Elkins, Rev. Homer Straut, Rev. Paul Owen, Rev. Charles Sunder- land, Rev. Carroll Self, Rev. Elmer Lampkin, Rev. Lowell Young, Rev. Lee Seal, Rev. Charles Smith, Rev. Danny Lamb, Rev. Dannie Bell, Rev. Harold Noe, and our present pastor Rev. Travis Webb. On Sunday June 4, 2023 Westview celebrated it’s 75th year anniversary. Several for- mer pastors and members and members joined the congre- gation on this special day. Westview is a mission mind- ed church that supports local ministries in our community as well as foreign missions. We invite anyone who would like to worship with us to attend any of our services.
