2A —Marshall County Post, Thursday, May 22, 2024 Congratulations to our Scholarship Recipients! Gavin Grissom, son of Doug and Tresha Grissom, the Forrest School recipient of the Volunteer Materials Scholarship. He plans to attend Auburn University in the fall and major in professional flight, with a goal of becoming a professional pilot. Gavin recently joined the Alabama Air National Guard as part of the 117th Air Refueling Wing and will be fulfilling his service duties while also attending Auburn University. Dean Delk is pictured with Gavin, presenting him the award. Blaine Woodard is the Cornersville High School recipient of the Volunteer Materials Scholarship. Blaine is the son of Brad and Becky Woodard and he plans to attend University of Tennessee at Martin and major in exercise science. He is pictured with the CHS guidance counselor, Edna London. The Marshall County High School recipient of the Volunteer Materials Scholarship is PaceyAdgent.Hisparentsare JohnMichael and Meredith Adgent. His future plans are to attend Columbia State Community College the first two years then to Middle Tennessee State University and major in cyber security and computer science.
