They always test- ed above grade level since pre-k. Participants will meetup near the boat ramp in the picnic loop. For the last several years, Chi- nese Privet has overtaken the park’s boundary and this year, that’s the target plant. WeedWrangle is part of a Garden Club of Amer- ica’s national stewardship e ff ort to remove invasive plants from public spaces. Parks across the state of Tennessee will be hosting Weed Wrangle events. It is a great opportunity for volunteers to get outside and help restore their native natural beauty. It also provides knowledge and skills to help you combat non-native invaders at your own home. Volunteers can expect to be in semi-rough grass and brushy areas, using cutting tools, and work- ing around others. Everyone will work together as a team to cut, pull, and remove the invasive plants. Water and snacks will be provided so bring a re fi llable bottle. Lunch will be provided by Hunt Brothers Pizza. Please show up in weather appro- priate clothing including sturdy footwear. In the event heavy rain or inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled. However, if there is light rain the event will go on as planned-just dress accord- ingly. Targeting Chinese Privet: Weed Wrangle 2024 LMS students explore the world of robots Mrs. Ashley Johnson’s computer science classes at Lewisburg Middle School have been exploring the world of robots to learn about different coding programs. Each student was able to program a robot to move and manipulate paths designed for the students to think critically and creatively. The robots raced each other after being programmed. In this class, students learn critical thinking skills while using real world applications to expose them to areas they need to be successful in classes today as well as in higher education settings. Students will be able to take the skills they are learning and apply them to many aspects of their lives and future careers, while understanding the need for common knowledge of computer sciences. 6:30 - 8:00 pm Main Event ~ FREE VIP Tickets to Meet Pete TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL EVENTS CONTACT Mark Bolt (615) 308-8658 MARK.BOLT@PHILOSCLASSICALCHRISTIAN.ORG WWW.PHILOSCLASSICALCHRISTIAN.ORG/KICK-OFF/ Scan FOR TICKETS CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN EDUCATION EXPLAINED ~ WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT ~ WHY PHILOS!
