his family by his side on Wednesday, August 14. He was a life- long resident of Se- quatchie. Bob was a loving son, brother, fa- ther, and grandfather. He worked at Vulcan Materials and was a member of the Laborers local 846. Bob enjoyed fi shing, gol fi ng and was an avid University of Tennessee fan. He was a member of Coppinger Cove Baptist Church. “Little Bob”, as he was a ff ectionately known, lived and loved with a heart as big as the man he was. “Love you, Love You, Love You” was his good-bye. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Carrie Burden; paternal grandparents, Ernie and Esther Michael; father, Bobby Richard Michaels, Sr.; grandchild, Micah Hope Snyder. Survivors include his mother, Willie Ruth Mi- chaels Jenkins; son, Mark (April) Michaels; daugh- ter, Kimberly (Daniel) Snyder; grandchildren, An- nalee, Cooper, and Rowan Michaels, Kloie, Amel- lia, and Zeke Snyder; brother, Todd Michaels; sisters, Sherri (Mike) Deakins, Shannon (Mikie) Castle and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 17, at 1 p.m. in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home 21 East Fifth Street in Jasper, with Pastor Chris Turner and Pastor Mike Teague o ffi ciating. Mr. Michaels was laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation was held on Friday, August 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Rogers Funeral Home Jasper chapel. Pallbearers were Todd Michaels, Mike Deak- ins, Mikie Castle, Mark Michaels, Daniel Snyder, John Michael Deakins, Ryan Deakins, and Kevin Grooms. The Marion Tribune – August 22, 2024 Charles Leonard Walters, Jr. 66 Charles Leonard Walters, Jr. 66, of Jas- per was called home to the Lord on August 11. He was born to the late Charles Leonard Walters, Sr. and Ber- nice Reynolds Layne on March 24, 1958. Charles was a self- employed mechanic. He had a passion for working on cars. He loved to cook and was always on the go, keeping himself busy with things. Charles loved making people laugh. He knew how to put a smile on your face just by telling one of his many adventurous life stories. Charles had a love, out of this world, for his children and grandchildren. He cherished his fam- ily and looked out for the very many friends he had. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Rogers; grandparents, Arthur and Wil- lie Walters, Henry and Mattie Reynolds; brother, David Ray Walters and sister, Rosemary Cart- wright. Charles is survived by his sons, Charlie Wal- ters, Je ff ery (Brandi) Walters; daughter, Christy Sanders; sisters, Barbara Turner, Patricia Garner; grandchildren, Kayden and Mason Walters, Dami- on Nunley, Arielle Sanders; several nieces, neph- ews with very special nephew, Blake Co ff elt, other family members and special friends including best friend, Matt Rogers.
