The Marion Tribune, Thursday, August 22, 2024— 3A Citizen of the Week Memories of Marion Veteran of the Month Susie King of New Hope has been selected by Jasper Memorial Post 6362 as their most recent Citizen of the Week for flying the American flag at her home every day. Her determination to keep the stars and stripes waving daily demonstrates her patriotism and pride in our nation. She was presented a Certificate of Appreciation from the VFW for her outstanding citizenship. Pictured with her is Post Commander Bob Collins (L), and Memphis Layne (R). Provided by VFW Post 6362 Larry Wilson was recently named Veteran of the Month by Jasper Memorial Post 6362 of the Vet- erans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Wilson is a U.S. Army veteran and a resident of South Pittsburg. The VFW presented him with a Certificate of Appre- ciation for his service to our nation by defending our freedom and liberty. HeeHaw is coming to the Princess H eeHaw is coming to South Pittsburg on August 24, bringing enter- tainment to the Princess Theater while supporting a great cause. The event, titled ‘Hee- Haw at the Princess,’ will bene fi t the Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the show starting at 6 p.m. Admis- sion is $10 for all ages. The advisory was initially issued on August 15 fol- lowing a main break that caused a signi fi cant drop in water pressure. Subsequent water sample tests have con fi rmed that the water quality now meets state and federal standards. Tennessee American Water expresses gratitude to its customers for their patience and cooperation dur- ing the advisory. Customers are encouraged to share this update, especially with those who may not have received the notice directly.
