NFL Flag Football signups – Jasper: In person signups will be on Mondays at City Hall from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the month of July. Online signups are now live at Jasper-TN.com. Cost is $50 and for grades K-8th boys and girls. NFL Flag Football signups – South Pitts- burg: In person signups will be each Saturday now through August 10 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Loyd Park House. Signups are also at City Hall Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through August 9. The cost is $60 and for grades K-8th. This show is one of the longest running and most popular craft shows in the Southeast. This event will feature more than 100 artisans and crafters displaying their handmade creations which will include: fi ne art; stained glass; pot- tery; fi ne, primitive and refurbished furniture; bird houses; paintings in a variety of media; quilts; woodcrafts; folk art; toys; jewelry; chain saw carv- ing demonstrations; blacksmith demonstra- tions and lectures; cigar box art; metal art; soaps and lotions; local honey; embroidered baby items and doll clothing; knit- ted and hand sewn items; and so much more. Reoccurring Events Early Voting for the August 1 Primary in Mar- ion County will be held at the Election Commission o ffi ce, 109 Academy Av- enue in Jasper through Saturday, July 27. Hours are as follows: Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. You must bring valid photo id. A TN driv- er’s license, US Passport, ID from the TN Dept of Homeland Security, ID from the federal or TN state government, US Military ID, TN handgun carry permit are all accept- able as long as they have a photo. Orena Humphrey Public Library host- ing book sale - The Orena Humphrey Public Library is hosting a larger than normal book sale corner that features donated items and materials that have been removed from the collection. This col- lection includes books, DVDs, VCR movies, and a fewbooks on cassette tape. Interested patrons can purchase these items for a fee of $3 per bag, with the library providing the bag. Currently, the book sale corner is fully stocked, but the sta ff anticipates the need to weed out some items in the coming weeks to make space for new ad- ditions to the shelves. As a result, there will be fresh additions to the book sale in the near future. Bridge Night at Monteagle Commu- nity Center meets the second Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is for any play- ers (18+), experienced or if you just want to learn, you are invited to join. The Miners Memorial Park Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the old Gri ffi th Creek Elementary School, 6395 Hwy 108, Whitwell.
