24 —Elk Valley Times Graduation 2024 Fayetteville High School Class of 2024 Awards F ayetteville High School Seniors in the Class of 2024 were offered a record-breaking $10,422,422 in scholar- ships and awards, an average of $115,804 per senior. Top 15% of the FHS Class of 2024 Lillian Rose Murray Lillian received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. She was a member of the Beta Club/3 years, Student Government/1 year, Chamber of Commerce Student Advisory Board/1 year, Lincoln Health Advisory Board/2 years, and National Society of High School Scholars Nominee. Lilly was a member of the Volleyball team for 3 years, Basketball/2 years and Cheer 1 year. She has earned both the CNA Certi- fication and EMT certification and is BLS certified. She plans to attend UT South- ern and major in nursing. She is awarded The Huntsville Hospital Lincoln Health Foundation scholarship ($500) and the Ed Ellis Memorial Scholarship. Lilly graduates FHS with recognition as a Fayetteville City Lifer, member of the Student Government, Beta Club member, with School Honors for ranking in the top 15% of the class, with State Distinction by maintaining a B or above average and earning 12 or more hours of postsecond- ary credit, as a TN Scholar, recognized for completing 12-plus post-secondary credit hours through Motlow State Community College, with recognition as a health sci- ence programcompleter, with recognition of earning a CNA Industry Certification, Kiwanis Academic Excellence Award, with recognition for completing the TCAT program and with Work Ethic of Distinc- tion. He is a member of the 21-plus Club, Beta Club, and the Tigers Marching Band/5 years. He plans to attend Motlow Com- munity College and is majoring in busi- ness. Landen graduates FHS as a Beta Club member, with School Honors for ranking in the top 15% of the class and is recognized as a 4 year band member. Scholarships Awarded: $8,000 - TN Promise, HOPE-$20,400 Scholarship Total: $28,400 Ma’Raya Alonia Fulton Ma’Raya received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excel- lence. She is the Student Body President and was class president her 10th and 11th grade years and secretary her 9th grade year. Ma’Raya was a member of the Beta Club, and in her 11th grade year, she served as treasurer and in her 12th grade year as vice president. She was a member of the Leo Club 11th and 12 grade years and served as secretary, as Ex-Officio of the School Board her senior year, Lead- ership Lincoln junior year vice president and Lincoln Health Board junior and se- nior years. She has had high Honor Roll for 4 years, completed over 100 hours of community service, Project Lead the Way for 3 years, Health Science Club for 2 years, peer tutor for a year, and led the Veterans Day program for the local high schools. Ma’Raya was a member of the cheerleading squad for 1 year, basketball team for 2 years and soccer for one year. She was 2023 Homecoming queen and prom queen. Ma’Raya plans to attend Austin Peay University andmajor in com- munications with a concentration in pub- lic relations. Ma’Raya graduates FHS with recogni- tion as a Fayetteville City Lifer, member of the Student Government, Beta Club member, with School Honors for ranking in the top 15% of the class and with Work Ethic of Distinction. He is a member of the 21-plus Club and is graduating in the Top 15% of the class. He graduated with his Associates Degree from Motlow. Loggan plans to attend UAHandmajor in computer science. Log- gan graduates FHS with recognition as a Fayetteville City Lifer, with State Honors by achieving the benchmark scores of all areas on the ACT (18 English, 22 Math, 22 Reading, and 23 Science), with School Honors for ranking in the top 15% of the class, with State Distinction by maintain- ing a B or above average and earning 12 or more hours of postsecondary credit and with recognition as a criminal justice program completer. Scholarship Awarded: $8,000 - TN Promise, TNHOPE- $20,400 Scholarships Total: 28,400 Akeyra Jakiyah Askins Akeyra received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. She is in the Top 15% of her Senior class, a member of the 21-plus club, Beta club/ 3 years, SGA/1 year, Leo club/1 year, Girls State Delegate, First National Bank Student Advisory Board, Junior’s House Youth Board Treasurer. Akeyra was a member of the Tigers cheerleading squad as a captain, All-American for 4 years, and girls’ soccer for 3 years. She plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and major in accounting. Akeyra graduates FHS with recognition as a Fayetteville CityLifer,member of the Student Govern- ment, Beta Club, with School Honors for ranking in the top 15%of the class, as a TN Scholar withWork Ethic of Distinction.
