Commissioners only needed a half hour to go through a very short agenda at the regular June meeting. Keith Davis was nomi- nated to replace Julie Sanders as a 7th District Commissioner. Each commissioner could nominate a replacement, but Davis was the only name put up for vote. He joins Sylvia Pinson as representative for the dis- trict. Sanders is moving out of the district which required her to resign. All 16 commissioners present voted in favor of Davis and he was sworn in by county attorney John T. Bobo and Mayor Chad Graham. In other business a motion by Commis- sioner Linda Yockey was approved to designate two spaces around the courthouse as veteran’s handicapped spots tak- ing the place of regular handicapped parking.
