Fall Local Living—5 L ooking for a hot spot for hiking? Look no further than Fiery Gizzard Trail. The trail is accessible from two trailheads, one located in Tracy City. It is 12.5 miles one way and is generally considered a challenging route. It takes an average of four hours to complete, so plan ahead with hiking shoes, weather- appropriate clothing, and essentials. Don’t forget a camera. Fiery Gizzard o ff ers scenic views, waterfalls, cascading streams, rock formations, lush wooded areas, and hemlock trees over 200 years old. The trail follows Fiery Gizzard Creek for a time, then ascends 500 feet to Raven Point which o ff ers a spectacular overlook. From there, the trail runs along the canyon rim to Foster Falls. Fiery Gizzard is a very popular area for backpacking, camping and hiking. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Fiery Gizzard Trail
